Car Insurance Chevrolet (Car Insurance). How can I better maintain a '95 Toyota Corolla AE110 XE Saloon?

How can I better maintain a '95 Toyota Corolla AE110 XE Saloon? My car has Toyota's 5AFE engine, has almost 80000 miles. I bought is recently from another person who didn't do much maintenance. I am from Bangladesh, country east of India. Climate-wise, we have very hot summer with extreme humidity 6 to 8 months in a year and some rain. My car has also been converted to CNG (converted natural gas) besides Octane-fuel system. AC seems to cool OK, not chilling cold. Fan speed seems to be really blowing only at full speed mark. Something to do/check/repair here? Right now, I am using 20W-50 engine oil. Do you think it's the proper oil for this engine? I don't have the owner's manual. Would you suggest which oil would be best for this engine? Is it truly a good idea to do a flush while changing engine/transmission oil? I have a double din dvd navigation installed in my car. But towards the top of the dash, a single DIN compartment is empty (there was an old radio). it doesn't really look 'cool'. So I plan on installing a single DIN mp3 player. But, I will NOT use the dvd navigation and this single DIN mp3 player simultaneously. Can I do that? I mean will my battery and alternator support it? My car has almost lost that 'show room car shine'. Paint is still good and no dent but it just lost that glimmering shine. What can I use just to get that glaze/shine back on? Thanks

Not knowing the history of maintenance on the vehicle, I would start with: First A/C could be low on freon if not cooling good. If fan only working on high speed blower speed resistor probably bad. Hot weather 20w50 ok just use good brand like Castrol, no Quaker state. Coolant flush should be done every 2 years. Transmission service every 50,000 miles. On dvd don't know much but bat. alt. should support ok. Need to wash and wax car[not polish] either by hand one panel at a time clean cloths, or with electric orbital buffer with bonnets to apply and remove usually best way. Bangladesh used to be East Pakistan, Lived in Darjeeling long time ago. Also due for full service on vehicle, tune up, timing belt/water pump, and all other fluids changed.minus what you've already done lately.

Chevrolet . financing a car advice?

financing a car advice? ok so im lookin at buying a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant ES, its a very nice car and the its going for $9,777, only 41k miles on it, and clean carfax/autocheck. so ya. ok i have to finance it. i want to do it threw the bank but also dont want to pass up the dealer financing either if its better. so i filled out a online Applicatoin for the dealer financing for the car, thinking it was the Application for Pre-Approval, meaning i would be already approved for the financing blah blah. anyway...i noticed its jsut a application for financing..does this mean if it gets approved i have to take the car? or am i still good i can still take it with my bank. cause i dont want to get cornhold into dealer financing. idk its my first car im buying from a dealer. also after doing the applicatoin thing...i started really reading reviews on the dealer itself "Bronx Suzuki" ok so the first few i read through where ok..but then it like hit a wall. it was alot of stuff that i dont want to happen to me like...forgery, a lady who says she works for the company but weeks after you buy the car you still dont have the bill of sale or title and when you call the dealer they say that lady doesnt work there. i dont know im really paranoid about it. and i jsut want things to go smoothly and i rather not have someone ruin my so far perfect credit. even if i get approved for the financing of the car, and i dont take the car, they cant do anything with the financing right? i didnt give them any of my important info like my SS# or anything to important. pretty much general info for when you inquire about a car + gross monthly income(which is nothing) car insurance.

Chevrolet . How to Fix the Toe on a 1984 Ford F150

Adjustable steering linkages (tie rods) control front-end alignment in the 1984 year model Ford F-150 trucks. Lengthening or shortening the tie rod ends change the amount of toe-in on the vehicle. The toe--a front-end alignment adjustment--reflects the front wheels' distance off center line. The F-150 pulls to one side or the other in response to excessive toe-in or toe-out. This action quickly wears out the front tires, as the tires are scrubbed across the road surface. The tires lose considerable traction, which creates an unsafe condition when not properly aligned.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Tape measure
Needle-nose pliers
Wrench set
Ball joint fork
White paint or brightly colored nail polish
Ball joint dust bootMeasuring the Toe

Step by Step :
1
Start the engine and center the front wheels with the steering wheels. Turn the engine off and set the parking brake.
2
Measure with the tape measure between the front tires on the inside of the tires' edges, at the same point on each tire, as far forward on the tire's circumference as is accessible. Measure again on the inside of the tire edge, at the same point on each tire, as far toward the rear as is accessible. Ideally, the measurement points should be at three o'clock and at nine o'clock on the tires, or as close to these points as possible.
3
Compare the measurements. Front measurements that are greater than rear measurements indicate a toe-out condition. Correct toe-out by shortening the tie-rod ends. Rear measurements that are greater than front measurements indicate a toe-in condition. Correct toe-in by lengthening the tie-rod ends.
Adjusting the Toe

Step by Step :
1
Straighten out and remove the cotter pin from each tie-rod end with needle-nose pliers. Remove the ball-joint retainer nut with a wrench. Insert the ball-joint fork between the tie-rod end and the stabilizer link. Lever the ball-joint apart. Loosen the adjuster sleeve lock nuts with a wrench. Do not allow the sleeve to turn at this time.
2
Mark the current location of the tie-rod ends in their threaded adjuster sleeves. Dab paint or brightly colored nail polish at the joint of the threads and the sleeve.
3
Adjust the tie-rod ends according to the measurements that were taken. Thread the tie-rod ends in to increase toe-in, or turn them out to decrease it. Make small corrections of one or two turns at a time to each side equally, then reassemble the ball joint and measure the wheels again. Continue adjusting and measuring until the measurements become equal.
4
Replace the ball joint's dust boot. Insert the ball joint stud into the stabilizer link and torque the retainer nut to 52 to 74-foot/pounds (ft/lbs) with a 1/2-inch torque wrench. Insert a new cotter pin and secure the ends with needle-nose pliers. Torque the adjuster sleeve lock nuts to 30 to 42-ft/lbs with a 1/2-inch torque wrench.
Tips & Warnings
Proper vehicle alignment can only be achieved by a shop with properly trained personnel and rather expensive equipment. Other considerations, such as caster and camber adjustments, must be considered for a vehicle to be truly and properly aligned. Self-adjusting the toe can correct extreme problems and make the vehicle drivable, but for an accurate alignment, take the vehicle to an alignment specialist.

Chevrolet . How to Replace Ball Joints in a 2005 Dodge Dakota

The Dodge Dakota uses two control arms on each wheel of the front suspension, each with its own ball joint. The joints need changing if they have worn down and are now loose in the control arm. The upper ball joint cannot be removed from its control arm, so you must replace the entire control arm. The lower joint can be separated from the joint, but it requires special tools or a professional.
Difficulty:Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Jack
Jack stands
Tire iron
Wrench
Cutting pliers
Ball joint separator
Paint
Small brush
Press tool and receiver cupUpper Ball Joint/Control Arm

Step by Step :
1
Raise the truck and support it on jack stands; place the stands underneath the frame rails. Remove the wheel for the control arm you are removing.
2
Loosen the upper ball joint's stud nut without removing it--use a flare nut wrench if possible--and then pry the ball joint off of the steering knuckle using a ball joint removal tool.
3
Remove the mounting fasteners for the control arm by removing their nuts and then pull the arm away from the frame brackets. Take note that the fastener studs both point in the same direction.
4
Connect the replacement control arm to the frame brackets and apply the fasteners, making sure the bolts point in the same direction as before. Do not tighten the bolts all the way yet.
5
Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle and tighten the upper stud nut to 55 foot pounds.
6
Re-connect the wheel and tire and lower the truck. Once it is back at its normal ride height, tighten the pivot bolt nuts to 75 foot pounds.
Lower Ball Joint

Step by Step :
1
Raise and support the truck like you would for an upper control arm removal and remove the wheel.
2
Unbolt and remove the brake caliper and its mounting bracket from the brake disc using a wrench and then slip the disc off the studs. If the disc is held in place with pressed washers, clip them off with cutting pliers.
3
Raise a floor jack under the lower control arm at the outer end to support it and then separate the control arm from the stabilizer link by removing its link nut.
4
Paint marks to show the relationship between the control arm's mounting bolts and the frame, remove the bolts and pull the arm from the brackets. Separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle as described for the upper control arm.
5
Press the ball joint out of the control arm using a special press tool and receiver cup. This type of tool can often be rented from an equipment yard.
6
Install the replacement ball joint into the control arm using the same tool you removed it with.
7
Connect the control arm in the reverse order that you disconnected it. As with the upper arm, don't tighten the pivot bolt nuts until after you lower the truck back to normal riding height. Tighten those bolts to 180 foot pounds.
Tips & Warnings
Avoid using a picklefork-style ball joint separator if possible, as this type will likely destroy the ball joint boot.

If Aft Else Fails If your car is a chronic overheater and none of the remedies in this chapter cures it, consider replacing its radiator with one that has a greater cooling capacity or installing a separate cooling device where the trouble occurs. (For example, devices are sold to cool transmission systems.) Often, these coolers are sold as part of a trailer-towing package, because most cars aren't designed to tow or carry very heavy loads for long periods of time, and the resulting strain causes them to overheat. Again, a professional you can trust is the proper person to consult if you think that you may need these extras. Chapter 22 shows you how to choose repair facilities that are honest and competent, and tells you what to do if you're dissatisfied with their service. If your car could talk, it would probably agree. When you consider that the temperature in your vehicle's combustion chambers can get as high as 4,500 degrees Fahrenheit, with high pressures, the shock of combustion, and many metal parts rubbing and grinding against one another, you can see that a vehicle that is not ade quately protected against heat and friction will swiftly come to an untimely

death. Luckily, this kind of protection is cheap and easy to ensure. It's a simple matter of providing sufficient lubrication to keep things running smoothly and then making sure that your vehicle gets regular attention. Changing the oil is the most essential thing you can do to give your car a long and happy life. This chapter tells you how to choose the right kind of oil for your vehicle, how frequently you should change the oil for maximum performance, and how to do the job quickly and easily. Hou) OH Benefits \lour Vehicle To choose the proper kind of oil, you should know what that oil is expected to do. When your car is at rest, the oil slops around quietly in a container located at the bottom of the crankcase, just below the engine (see Figure 15-1). This container is called the oil pan. When the car is running, oil is pumped by an oil pump through holes and channels in the engine, where the oil helps cool and clean the engine and provides a nice, slippery cushion that keeps moving parts from grinding one another into oblivion. The following sections explain in greater detail how oil benefits your vehicle. Because the oil pan is located below the engine, where the air that rushes past the moving car can cool it, the oil picks up some of the heat as it travels around inside the engine and then cools off when it circulates through the oil pan. Although this isn't enough to keep most engines sufficiently cool with out a cooling system, it helps. Oil keeps your engine clean Most engine oils contain some detergent, which helps flush out the muck that accumulates inside your engine. Not only does detergent remove and dis solve this old sludge; it also helps prevent new gobs of the stuff from forming. Believe me, you have no idea of the meaning of any of those yucky
